How Task Outcomes Affect Your Credit Balance
Every accepted generation deducts 10 credits for a 6-second clip or 20 credits for an 11-second clip regardless of whether you select a 9:16 or 16:9 frame. What happens to that balance afterward depends on the technical state of your job.
Choosing or uploading a photo and changing output settings are free and do not launch a job. Only an explicitly accepted new create request charges credits, while downloading an already finished MP4 is free.
- Rejected upload validation: Files over 10 MB or in unsupported formats outside JPG, PNG, or WebP are rejected before a generation task starts and do not use credits. Separately, the terms of use require an image you have rights to upload of a pet or consenting adult and prohibit photos of minors.
- Pending or uncertain: Once accepted, a job continues processing in the background. A slow or unclear status is not a confirmed failure and does not return credits while active.
- Confirmed technical failure: When the system records that a task failed to produce an output, the 10 or 20 charged credits return to your balance once.
- Completed with creative flaws: A video that finishes rendering is billed even if the driver replacement exhibits face drift, awkward mouth movement or model artifacts.
How Saved Tasks and New Submissions Work
An active or unresolved task blocks you from submitting another generation, and you can check its progress in My videos. Picking a photo or changing output settings is free, and only explicitly starting an accepted new generation costs credits.
Open your saved task history to check whether your accepted job is still processing, completed and ready for free download, or marked as failed with its spent credits returned once. Credits are used only when you explicitly start a later new generation after your previous task is resolved.
Credit Restoration vs. Requesting a Payment Refund
Restored credits stay in your account for future 6-second or 11-second generations, as one-time packs (Starter at $9.99 USD, Pro at $29.99 USD, and Studio at $89.99 USD) have no scheduled expiry. A credit return does not reverse a charge on your payment method.
Cash refund requests are reviewed individually under the refund policy. If you need support to review a billing issue or an unresolved task, email support@hittheroaddudevideo.app or use the contact page with your account email, saved task reference, and payment reference. Never send full payment card numbers.
